The Boerne Champion FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) participated in a community service project for the Hill Country Daily Bread (HCDB) in October. Hand-decorated flyers and envelopes were mailed out to the homeowners of the Country Bend subdivision a week in advance to notify them of their annual food drive. Members, some dressed in spirited costumes, collected over 615 pounds of food from the residents. This was their 15th consecutive year to do this project. Thanks to the Country Bend residents who have consistently donated over 600 pounds of food each year.
