Scholarship Renewal FAQ

    • CJ Davidson Scholarship - Eight (8) semesters

    • CJ Davidson College Scholarship - Six (6) semesters

    • FCCLA Regional Scholarship - Two (2) semesters

  • The fall semester is the peak disbursement period for Texas FCCLA. Most recipients submit their documentation between late April and mid-July to adhere to the scholarship guideline requirement of 30 days prior to the start of the semester. Processing begins at the end of July and continues through the end of August.

Texas FCCLA must to obtain all requirements 30 days prior to the start of the semester, as this provides sufficient time to verify and file documentation for each recipient, prepare award checks, and ensure they are mailed in a timely manner for schools to receive them before any deadlines.

  • The spring semester aligns with Texas FCCLA's conference season, during which six conferences, including the state conference, are hosted over a 12 to 13 week timeframe.

Recipients typically begin to submit their schedules and letters of verification from late September to early November, followed by their transcripts immediately after the conclusion of the fall semester, usually from December 1st to December 15th. Processing occurs from mid-December through the second week of January.

It is essential that all requirements are submitted NO LATER THAN January 10th, as focus will transition to conference preparation and facilitation, making it difficult to ensure timely scholarship disbursements for any late submissions during this period.
