Apply for a Scholarship

Texas Association Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America offer several scholarships to members in support of their goal to obtain a college education. Scholarship applicants applying for scholarships through Texas FCCLA must meet both the standard requirements set for all FCCLA scholarships, as well as the requirements specific to the scholarship in which the member applies. 

DEADLINE: ALL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED ONLINE NO LATER THAN:

11:59 p.m. CST on FEBRUARY 1, 2025

NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.

Note: Information contained in the application will be treated as confidential and will only be released to the scholarship committee that require information for selection purposes.

ALL Texas FCCLA scholarship applications will be submitted using the Universal Application.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

STEP ONE: Click the “Universal Scholarship Application” button below. On the application, please select which scholarship(s) you are applying for. Complete the fillable PDF and save the file with your name, school, and chapter ID number in the title of the PDF file. Only one application is required even if you are applying for multiple scholarships.

STEP TWO: Check for additional requirements within each specific Scholarship Guideline (see scholarship procedures below), as some may require a unique personal essay and/or letters of recommendation. If recommendations are necessary, remember to provide those individuals writing your letter with ample time to complete and submit prior to deadlines.

STEP THREE: Rename your Universal Scholarship Application and all other required documents as follows:

  • Application - First Name, Last Name - School - Chapter ID

  • Autobiography - First Name, Last Name (if applicable)

  • Letter of Rec 1 - First Name, Last Name

  • Letter of Rec 2 - First Name, Last Name

  • Letter of Rec 3 - First Name, Last Name (if applicable)

  • Personal Narrative 1 - First Name, Last Name

  • Personal Narrative 2 - First Name, Last Name (if applicable)

  • Resume - First Name, Last Name

  • Scores - SAT or ACT - First Name, Last Name

  • Transcripts - College - First Name, Last Name (if applicable)

  • Transcripts - High School - First Name, Last Name

  • Verification Letter - First Name, Last Name (if applicable)

CJ Davidson Scholarship

Texas FCCLA will award ten (10) scholarships to outstanding members who plan to attend an accredited Texas college or university and major in any area of Family and Consumer Sciences. 

The scholarship amounts to $18,000 and will be awarded in eight disbursements of $2,250 over the course of eight semesters, provided the recipient continues to meet the eligibility criteria set forth by the scholarship's governing rules. Recipients are required to submit documentation for each semester's disbursement.


CJ Davidson College Scholarship

Texas FCCLA will award one (1) scholarship to a currently enrolled student majoring in Family and Consumer Sciences Education at an accredited Texas college or university.

The scholarship amounts to $13,500 and will be awarded in six disbursements of $2,250 over the course of six semesters, provided the recipient continues to meet the eligibility criteria set forth by the scholarship's governing rules. Recipients are required to submit documentation for each semester's disbursement.

Career & Technical Association of Texas - Myra Hasty Award

Career & Technical Association of Texas will award one (1) scholarship to an outstanding member of the Texas Association Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America who plans to attend an accredited Texas college or university school. This scholarship is open to all majors.

The scholarship amounts to $1,000 and will be disbursed in a one payment. This scholarship is not renewable.

Texas FCCLA Regional Scholarship

Texas FCCLA will award five (5) scholarships to outstanding members of the Texas Association Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America who plan to attend an accredited Texas college or university and major in any area of Family and Consumer Sciences.

The scholarship amounts to $1,000 and will be disbursed in two payments over the course of two semesters. This scholarship is not renewable.


H-E-B Scholarship

H-E-B will award ten (10) scholarships to outstanding members of the Texas Association Family, Career and Community Leaders of America who plan to attend an accredited Texas college or university. This scholarship is open to all majors.

The scholarship amounts to $1,000 and will be disbursed in a one payment. This scholarship is not renewable.


Texas Farm Bureau Scholarship

Texas Farm Bureau will award one (1) scholarship to an outstanding state or region officer of the Texas Association Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America who plans to attend an accredited Texas college or university and major in any area of Family and Consumer Sciences.

The scholarship amounts to $5,000 and will be disbursed in a one payment. This scholarship is not renewable.


WeHelpTwo Scholarship

WeHelpToo will award three (3) scholarships to outstanding members of the Texas Association Family, Career and Community Leaders of America who plan to attend an accredited Texas college or university. This scholarship is open to all majors.

The scholarship amounts to $600 and will be disbursed in a one payment. This scholarship is not renewable.


Sponsor Scholarships for FCCLA Members

Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM)

High school junior and senior FCCLA members are eligible to receive a $1,000 scholarship from FIDM. Find more information here.

Any accepted incoming student who is a past or present member of FCCLA is eligible for scholarships. Find more information here.

The art Institutes
